Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-4) in a drive arrested two persons with fake local currency notes worth about Taka 1.34 lakh at Turag on the outskirts of the capital on Saturday night, reports BSS. They also seized a currency-making machine, a Samsung galaxy pad, a printer and a mobile phone set from their procession.
The arrestees are – Yasin Arafat alias Akash, 26, and Mahmudul Hasan Naeem, 25. During primary interrogation, they admitted their involvement in producing and marketing of fake currency notes in the country for a long time, RAB-4 Senior Assistant Director (Media Coordinator) Mohammed Sajedul Islam Sajal today confirmed the matter to BSS. Necessary legal actions were taken against the arrested persons.
