Police arrested two persons and seized 75 liters of domestically made liquor along with a CNG-run auto-rickashaw in Raojan of Chittagong district on Sunday.
Police said the made the arrest and seizure during after a a check post was set up on Kaptai Road in front of the Noapara Police Camp of Noapara Union No. 13 of the upazila.
The arrestees were identified as Farida Begum (54), daughter of deceased Ejlas Mia of Nazim of Adilpur village, and Md. Helal (25), son of Abul Kashem of Adarsh village of Ward No. 3 of Rangunia Municipality.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Raozan Police Station Monirul Islam Bhuiyan said that a case has been filed against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act and they were produced before the court.
