Police have arrested two drug peddlers with 500 contraband yaba pills from Natun Haat Mor under Ishwardi upazila of Pabna on Friday. The arrestee were identified as Furkan Ali, 45, son of late Apil Uddin and Md Al-amin, son of Badsha Pramanik hailed from the same village.
Police said they are involved in drug trading for a long time.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Ishwardi Police Station Atiqul Islam said, acting on tip-off police have stopped a CNG in front of Fazar Ali Bishwas house at Natun Haat Mor area and arrested Furkan and Al-amin for carrying 500 contraband yaba pills.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ishwardi Police Station Orvinda Sarker confirmed the matter.
