2 held with 300 bottles of phensidyl

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Jhenaidah have seized a consignment of phensedyl syrup on Friday.  They have arrested two drug vendors with 300 bottles of contra banned Indian phensedyl syrup. The contra banned was seized under the sand loaded in a truck from Jhenidah central bus terminal on Friday, said the RAB sources.

RAB-6 Jhenidah camp commander additional superintendent of police Masud Alam said acting o a tip off, they were informed that a sand laden truck carrying contra banned phensedyl syrup was marching towards Rajbari from Chuadanga the elite force conducted drives and arrested two drug vendors. 

The arrested are Rana Mandal, 25, son of Majed Mandal of Sonakandar village and Mannu Bepari, 27, son of late Akram Bepari of Dhanchi village under Rajbari. The RAB men seized the contra banned from under the sand which the truck apparently carrying with special technique. 

They also seized cash and other belongings from their possession. A case was filed with Jhenidah Sadar police station in this connection and the arrested duo was handed over to police, RAB camp commander said.
