Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in a raid today arrested two persons with 134 bottles of phensedyl from village DakshinKatla in Birampur upazila of Dinajpur district. "On a tip off, a joint operational team of the Crime Prevention Company-1 of Dinajpur and Crime Prevention Specialized Company of RAB-13 conducted a raid there and arrested them with the contraband phensedyl from the spot," said a press release. The arrested persons were identified as Md. Mominur Islam alias Monir, 40, so of Md. Azahar Ali and Reasin Islam Rony, 23, son of Rajib Uddin of village DakshinKatla in Birampur upazila of Dinajpur district.
During preliminary interrogation, the arrested persons admitted that they had been involved in drug trading in connivance with their other associates for a long time. "After filing a case against the arrested persons in this connection, the elite force handed them over to Birampur police station," the release said.
