A trial court in Rajshahi city on Tuesday sentenced two persons to 15 years of imprisonment for their involvement in cybercrimes.
Rajshahi Divisional Cyber Tribunal Judge Ziaur Rahman announced the verdict on Wasim Al Razi, 33, and Nasim Ali, 20. Both are the residents of Godagari upazila in the district.
The court also fined them Taka 15 lakh each, in default, to suffer one and a half-year more in jail.
According to the prosecution, the accused uploaded some objectionable and provocative posts on Facebook on August 1, 2021.
Subsequently, police arrested them and lodged a case against them with Godagari police station.
