Two fishermen missing in the trawler sinking incident in the Bay of Bengal have not been found in the last 4 days. The families of the missing fishermen are mourning.
The Coast Guard continues to search for the missing fishermen.
The two fishermen went missing after the trawler anchored in the sea near Pakhidiachar near Kachikhali in the Sarankhola range of Sundarbans.
The missing fishermen are Yusuf and Bayezid of Padma village in Patharghata, Barguna.
Ah Rahim Bepari, the father of missing fisherman Yusuf, said on mobile phone on Monday afternoon that despite searching in different areas of the sea in 3/4 trawlers for the last three days, no trace of his son Yusuf and brother's son Bayezid, who went missing after the trawler sank, was found. Stating that the sunken trawler has been recovered from the sea, he said that last Thursday (January 5) at around 2 o'clock in the morning, the two fishermen went missing after the trawler anchored in the sea near Pakhidiachar in the Bay of Bengal near Kochikhali in the Sundarbans sank. Bellal Hossain, the cousin of the missing fisherman, said that immediately after drowning, after floating on the cockpit, he called home and asked for rescue. Immediately after going to the spot with the trawler, no trace was found.
Asaduzzaman, Petty Officer of Kochikhali Contingent of Bangladesh Coast Guard West Zone, said on mobile phone that the Coast Guard members are conducting a search operation in the sea to rescue the missing fishermen.
