2 female ‘snatchers’ caught in Ctg

Two woman ‘snatchers’ were caught with stolen mobile in Chattogram on Sunday. One of them is a Rohingya woman who escaped the camp from Cox’s Bazar. 

A team of Kotwali Police Station detained the Rohingya woman named Noor Fatima Prakash, 20, from the Cinema Palace area in the city on Sunday. At that time police recovered four stolen mobile sets from her.

Police said, Fatema is the daughter of Abdul Gafur, a resident of 1029 no. Teknaf Naypara Rohingya camp of Cox's Bazar.

Kamruzzaman, OC (investigation) of Kotwali police, said that Fatema used to steal important things including money and mobiles in various markets in the market.

Police also arrested a snatcher named Swapna, 32, while he was stealing at Bakshirhat area. Swapna is the daughter of Makbul Hossain of Chunarughat area of Habiganj district.  A mobile set was recovered from him, said Inspector Md Kamruzzaman.  Different case were filed against them with the Kotwali police station in this regard.
