Two persons including a woman had died of coronavirus symptoms in Jhenaidah on Thursday. One of the suspected died in Kaliganj, while another in Shailkupa upazila of the district.
Locals and health department sources said some Shukur Ali, 65, son of Moslem Uddin of village Ghoshpara in Kaliganj came to his father in laws house at Kashipur village a few days back. He had been serving as a night guard at a super market in Dhaka.
Khairul Islam, a brother of Shukur Ali said he had been suffering from chest disease, fever, cough and some other complications and returned on Wednesday last with the complications. He died on Thursday morning. He was also suffering from diabetes for a long.
A physician of Kaliganj upazila health complex said they had collected the sample of the deceased and sent to Jashore science and Technology University for laboratory testing. The house of the victim was locked down from the upazila administration.
Further, Arvin Akter, wife of Milton Sarder of Keshtapr village of Shailkupa uazila in Jhenidah had also died with the corona symptoms on Thursday noon.
Shailkupa upazila health and family planning officer (UHFPO) Dr. Rashed Al Maumn admitted the death and said they had also sent the sample for laboratory testing in Jashore. The house of Arvin Akter was locked down accordingly, UHFPO said.
