Two students of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology (BSMRSTU) have received scholarships from South Asian University (SAU) of India. They have received this scholarship for the academic year 2020-21.
The two students are Ashok Bala, a student of the 2015-16 session of the International Relations Department and Anup Saha, a student of the Public Administration Department of the same session.
Ashok Bala, he said, 'I was inspired by a university teacher to study at this university, so I started preparing in advance. After finishing the honors, I give the admission test with full preparation. In spite of many obstacles in this journey of fulfilling dreams, I never deceived myself.
Today's feelings can't really be expressed in words.'
Anup Kumar Saha said, 'The happiness of the people around is the biggest thing in this achievement. I have come so far with the inspiration of a university teacher and an older brother. Preparing to be nominated, taking exams online, all in all, has been a lot of trouble. If I represent this university in the future, I can do something for the country, for this university, then my achievement is successful'.
Mahbuba Uddin, a lecturer in the Department of International Relations, said, "Out of the three students nominated from Bangladesh at the South Asian University, two students are of BSMRSTU, which is a great achievement and good news." At the same time it will serve as an inspiration for our students. I want
more students to come here every year and this trend of success for our students will continue. '
Mentioned, South Asian University is an established by the eight member states of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), also known as the SAARC University. This year, three students from Bangladesh have been selected for the Master’s program by receiving scholarships, two of whom are BSMRSTU students.
