Police arrested two persons, including a housewife, for their alleged involvement in stealing in a computer shop in Kaliganj town. Police recovered stolen goods including cash from their possessions.
The arrested were identified as Joni Mandal, 21, son of Iqbal Hossain of Pirojpur village and Maina Khatun, 32, wife of Palash Mandal of Arpara village in the town. The duo was arrested from their present residents at Nischintapur village in municipal area.
Additional superintendent of police in Jhenaidah Sadar circle Abul Bashar said acting on a tip off, a contingent of police raided arrested the duo from their houses and recovered cash taka 74 thousand, five cellular phone sets and grill cutting machine. The money was stolen from Shipon Computer in Kaliganj town.
The arrested were sent to Jhenaidah court for proceedings, the police said.
