Police on Wednesday arrested two suspected members of banned militants outfit ‘Allahr Dal’ in separated drives in Bogluwagari area under Jaldhaka Upazila in Nilphamari on Wednesday. The arrestees were identified as Md. Saiful Alom, 37, son of Ansar Ali, a resident of Fulsori Upazila of Gaibandha and Md. Jikrul Haque, 32, son of Eman Ali, a resident of Singdoi Sarar par of Itakholla union under Sadar upazila of the district.
Later, Superintendent of Police Md Zakir Hossain briefed the media about the raids at his office at the district town on Thursday. According to police, a DB team and forces from Jaldhaka Thana Police jointly conducted the raid to detain the duo. Of them, police arrested Saiful after nabbing Jikrul following the information gleaned from Saiful.
Police also recovered four mobile sets and seven SIM cards from their possession. A case was also filed with Jaldhaka Thana in this connection.
