Two accused in a case over the murder of Sharif, who was killed in Narayanganj on April 1, confessed to their crime before a Narayanganj court.
Investigation officer (IO) of the case produced nine accused before the court on April 4. Of them, two gave the confessional statement under Section 164 to the judicial magistrate court. The senior judicial magistrate recorded their confessional statements. According to the court sources, both of them stated the same language. They admitted that Sharif was killed in a pre-planned task.
According to FIR, the principal accused of the case Shakil and his associates had to pay 30 thousand taka penalty in an arbitration where Sharif's father was on of arbitrator. After that, Shakil gang several times humiliated by the locals for their criminal activities.
Sometime Sharif protested Shakil cohorts’ misdeeds. And then they made a plan to kill Sharif. That is why they were looking for opportunities. According to their plan, 35-40 criminal gang equipped with long sharp weapon attack Sharif on April 1 in front of his house and killed him by stabbing. Among the two accused who gave confessional statement one is Ismail who is FIR named accused and another is Rasel.
