1st int’l confce on July Uprising at DU today

The 1st International Conference on the July Revolution (ICJR-1, 2026) will be held at Dhaka University (DU) Monday. 

The conference will begin in the morning at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building on the campus. The theme of the event is "The Legacy of July Revolution 2024: Rebuilding Bangladesh".

Research and Integrated Thought (RIT), a Dhaka-based think tank, and DU Political Science Department will jointly orgainse the conference with support from the Department of Political Science at Jagannath University, University of Regina (Canada), School of Social Sciences at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), School of Peace and Conflict Studies at Kent State University (USA), the International Institute of Law and Diplomacy, Bangladesh 2.0 Initiative (UK), Sochchar (USA), Insaf (Dhaka), Center for Policy and Social Research (Turkey), Center for Policy Analysis and Advocacy (Dhaka), and the Jagoron Foundation (UK). 

Housing and Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Prof. Asif Nazrul, Education Adviser Prof. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, Special Envoy on International Affairs to the Chief Adviser Prof. Lutfey Siddiqi, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Khoda Box Chowdhury, Turkish academic and intellectual Prof. Dr. Yasin Aktay will attend the event as guests.

The conference will feature more than 15 expert speakers and over 10 live panel sessions.
