19th anniv of ACC celebrated in Jamalpur

The 19th founding anniversary of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) was celebrated in Jamalpur with the commitment to establish a corruption-free Bangladesh in the spirit of the Liberation War on Tuesday.

District ACC Deputy Director Malay Kumar Saha presided over the discussion at Jamalpur District Office of the Anti-Corruption Commission.

Assistant Director of ACC, Anik Barua Babu, spoke at the meeting, among others, Senior Assistant Director of District ACC. Ruhul Amin, Md.Kamruzzaman, General Secretary of District Anti-Corruption Committee Jahangir Alam Salim, Member Syazad Ansari,Manowara Khanam, Mukhleshur Rahman Likhan, Maulana 

Aktaruzza­man Siddiqui, AKM Ashrafuzzaman Swadhin, Sanwarul Islam, Arju Mia, Shahbia Jahan Siddika Sheela, Deputy Assistant Director of ACC District Office Atiur Rahman, Jihadul Islam and others.

ACC Deputy Director Malay Kumar Saha said development activities worth thousands of crores of rupees are being conducted in the district. 

Common people assume that corruption is also happening. If the ACC receives a complaint with specific information, action will be taken subject to investigation. He highlighted the birth history of ACC and said that if the country is to be free from corruption, a coordinated initiative must be taken.  Anti-corruption mentality should be fostered from top to bottom. Anti-corruption perspective should be enriched.  Satta Sangha should be strengthened.Anti-corruption committee activities should be made more dynamic.
