Shaheed Metropolitan Superintendent of Police Shamsul Haque Scholarship-2020 was organized by Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) in collaboration with Southeast Bank Limited.
CMP Commissioner Md Mahabubur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the event at the Multipurpose Shed of CMP office on Thursday morning. Anwar Uddin, Deputy Managing Director of Southeast Bank Limited was present on the occasion as a special guest.
A total of Tk 12 lakh 94 thousand scholarships were given to 196 students who are family members of CMP policemen who have shown merit in PSC, JSC and SSC. Southeast Bank Limited also provided a grant of Tk 10 lakh to the CMP Scholarship Fund.
Additional Commissioner of Police (Administration and Finance) Amena Begum, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) S. M. Mostaq Ahmed Khan, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Shyamal Kumar Nath and other police officials and students were present. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Md. Amir Zafar presided over the function.
