LGSP-3 and development support sector in Magura distributes free Bicycles among 192 female students of 54 secondary schools in Sadar Upazila of the district.
Upazila Parishad Executive Officer Tarif-ul-Hasan presided over the distribution ceremony held on Friday at the premises of Magura Government High School.
Member of Parliament of Magura-1 Constituency Saifuzzaman Shikhor spoke as the chief guest. Sadar Upazila Chairman Freedom Fighter Alhaj Abu Nasir Bablu, Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Tarif-ul-Hasan, District Awami League Joint General Secretary Shakharul Islam Shakeel, Upazila Vice Chairman Sheikh Rezaul Islam, Sadar Upazila Awami League President and Raghabdaid Union Parishad Chairman Ashraful Alam Babul Fariq spoke among others.
Speakers hope that this bicycle will play a special role in women's empowerment and women's education in the upazila.
