More 19,067 doses of Covid-19 jabs were administered on Saturday raising the number of inoculated vaccines to two crore 77 lakh 35 thousand and 134 doses in Rangpur division. Health officials said among the 19,067 doses of the jabs inoculated on Saturday, 707 were administered as the first doses, 9,751 as the second doses and 8,609 as the booster doses.
"Till Saturday, a total of 1,35,23,048 people got the first doses of Covid-19 jabs, and of them, 1,27,52,442 got the second doses and 14,59,644 got the booster doses," Divisional Director (Health) Dr. Abu Md. Zakirul Islam said.
Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 infected patients rose to 64,137 as two fresh positive cases with one each of Rangpur and Kurigram were diagnosed after testing 57 new samples at the positivity rate of 3.51 percent on Saturday.
However, the number of healed Covid-19 patients remained steady at 62,782 in the division where no new patients recovered during the last 24 hours ending at 8 am on Sunday.
"The number of casualties also remained steady at 1,284 in the division as any new death wasn't reported during the last 24 hours in the division," Dr. Islam added.
