The number of corona patients is increasing every day in Chittagong. A total of 1310 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the district, while died 18 people in the last 24-hour till Tuesday morning.
The infection rate is 38.65 percent. This is the highest infection rate in a single day in Chattogram district till inception corona.
A total of 77,521 people have been affected in Chittagong till Tuesday. According to the Civil Surgeon's Office, 3,389 samples were tested in 24 hours.
Among the new victims, 833 are residents of urban areas and 477 residents of upazila areas.
Among the upazilas, the highest number of infections is in Anwara, 67 people. Besides, coronavirus has been detected in 65 people in Boalkhali, 59 people in Hathazari and 57 people in Patia upazila.
Dr. Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram, told Bangladesh Post that the number of infections is increasing day by day. In the last 24 hours, 3,389 samples were tested and corona virus was found in the bodies of 1,310 people.
