16 bright lighting towers being installed in Rajshahi

To make Rajshahi city more bright and attractive at night, 16 - high altitude flood lights or lighting towers (High poles with bright lighting system) are being installed in the city areas.
RCC Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton inaugurated two such high altitude lighting systems by pushing the switching buttons at Shahid Kamruzzaman square of the city on Sunday night. With the introduction of the lighting system, nearly a half kiolmetre areas surround the railgate areas of Shahid Kamaruzzaman square have been enlightened brightly. The works of installation of 14 more such lighting poles are going on in the full swing.
After switching the lighting poles at Kamruzzaman square a prayer was also held. The inauguration of the lighting programme was attended, among others , by Tariqul Alam Poltu, ward councillor Abdul Momin, Chief Engineer of RCC Reazat Hossain Ritu and Assistant Engineer Asaduzzaman Sweet.
These 16-high towered lighting system are being installed at a cost of Taka nine crore. Ther areas where these lighting towers will be installed are: Shahid Kamruzzaman Square, Talaimari crossing, Bhadra Crossing, Rail station, Shahid Kamruzaaman stadium, Alif Lam Meem crossing, Amchattar, Alu Patti, Zero point, Boro Kuthi, Lalon Shah Park, C&B Crossing, Luxmipur crossing, Ghorachattar and Court station crossing.
It is learnt, each lighting tower is 56 feet in height and will hold 20 LED lights which will light brightly at least a half kilometre of surrounding areas. There will be no need of smaller poles with bulbs in most of the front areas of the city for the installation of these lighting towers.
