A total of 150 investment related services are planned to be provided through the One Stop Service (OSS) of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), said Lokman Hossain Mia, Executive Chairman of BIDA at a ceremony on Sunday.
BIDA organised the ceremony for signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BIDA and five service providing organisations at BIDA headquarters, Agargaon in the capital.
The MoU was signed to online system integration of the service providing organizations like Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited, Sundarban Gas Company Limited, Rajshahi Water Supply and Sewerage Authority, Prime Bank Limited and BRAC Bank Limited with the online OSS Portal of BIDA. A total of nine investment services will be added to BIDA OSS through the signing of this MoU.
BIDA Executive member, Dr. Khondoker Azizul Islam presided over the ceremony while Executive Chairman, BIDA Lokman Hossain Mia attended as the chief guest.
"The importance of Bangladesh is increasing day by day in the outer world as we have already developed our infrastructure remarkably through setting up 100 special economic zones, 19 High Tech Parks and deep sea port. In the November this year the Commonwealth Summit will be held in Bangladesh for the first time so all these are very remarkable milestones", said Lokman Hossain.
He mentioned that BIDA has so far signed MoU with a total of 48 organisations.
Currently BIDA provides 67 services of 23 organisations while in the next three months BIDA will be able to provide 80 percent investment services through BIDA OSS.
