Fifteen more persons were tested positive for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours till Thursday, raising the total number to 5,820 in Chapainawabganj district.
During the time, 138 samples were tested in the RT-PCR lab. Of them, 15 persons were detected as positive for COVID-19, showing the infection rate 10.86 percent, Civil Surgeon Office sources confirmed. All the newly detected patients are from Sadar upazila. A total of 82 patients are undergoing treatment in the district.
Of them, 38 patients are getting treatment in dedicated Covid-19 hospital and others at home.
Meanwhile, 156 patients have died of COVID-19 and 5,582 patients have recovered from the disease here, the sources added.
