Police in separate drives arrested fourteen narcotics vendors with fourteen kilogram ganja and one hundred seventy two doses of heroin.
In a drive at Chandmari area under Fatullah police station on Saturday arrested twelve narcotics peddlers with 172 doses of heroin, 1kg hemp from their possession.
The arrested are Rasel Mia, 35, Habib Mia, 33, Arman Mia, 40, Manik Mia, 27, Sagor, 22, Shopon Mia, 21, Siraj , 35, Faruk, 35, Sirajok, 21, Robi, 28, Shakil, 37 and Nadim 23.
Additional police super (DB) Toriqul Islam confirmed the information to the media.
Another drive on Friday night at Rosulbagh area under Shiddhirganj police station arrested two drug peddlers with 12kg hemp.
The arrested are Raju, 35, son of Modhu Matobbor and Mamun, 33, son of Shahjahan Mridha of Pirojpur district.Officer in charge of Shiddhirganj police station Abu Bokkor confirmed the information.
