The government has provided financial assistance of Tk 6 lakh 5 thousand to 133 non-MPO teachers and staff of Ishwardi Upazila who were affected by the Corona pandemic.
A cheque distribution ceremony was held on the occasion at the Upazila Parishad conference room on Thursday noon.
Upazila Chairrman Nuruzzaman Biswas handed over the cheques to the teachers at a function organised by the Upazila Administration as the chief guest.
UNO Shihab Raihan presided over the function while UZ Vice Chairman Abdus Salam Khan, Secondary Education Officer Selim Akhter, Academic Supervisor Ariful Haque and other officials were present.
In this program, 109 teachers were given financial assistance of Tk 5 lakh 45 thousand in total and 24 employees were given each were given Tk 60 thousand in total through cheques.
