13 people held in DMP’s anti-drug drives

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate drives in the last 24 hours till 6 am Monday arrested 13 persons for their alleged involvement in selling and consuming drugs.

Being informed, the DMP’s police and detective units conducted the anti-drug campaign in the city’s various areas and seized drugs and arrested drug sellers and abusers, a DMP statement said.

At that time, they seized 110 pieces of Yaba tablets, 280gm of hemp, 331gm of heroin, and 70 pieces of Tapentadol tablet from their possessions, according to the statement. 

According to the statement, five cases were filed against the detained persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
