13 Covid deaths in 24 hrs

Bangladesh registered 13 more deaths in 24 hours from Covid-19 till 8am Saturday. The total number of deaths has reached to 29,077 with the latest figure.

The country recorded 368 new infections in the meantime taking the totals number of people infected to 1,946,737 according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Saturday.

The current positivity rate stands 2.11 percent and the overall positivity rate stands at 14.41 percent.

In addition, the death rate now stands at 1.49 percent in the country, added the release.

Among the deceased, Of them, three were from Dhaka, two from Chattogram, and one was from Sylhet division. 

A total of 17,463 samples were tested across the country till 8am Saturday. 

Some 4,018 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. The recovery rate stands at 94.33 percent.

As of Saturday, 6,012,139 people died of Covid-19 across the world and 444,309,239 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
