1253 primary schools reopen in Noakhali

Physical classes have started in 1253 primary schools in 9 upazilas of Noakhali like all over the country. The district primary education department said that the attendance of students in the schools was low on the first day.

Offline regular classes began in schools from Wednesday morning. Classes for students from first to fifth grade will be taken on a daily basis from now on until further notice, authorities confirmed.

A few schools have been visited, after being closed for about a month and a half due to Covid-19 pandemic, the students came to the school in a festive atmosphere when the school reopened. They are happy to see their classmates after a long time.

District Primary Education Officer Saidul Islam said that teaching has started in 1253 primary schools of the district from Wednesday. Parents have been informed through official campaigns as well as teachers of their respective schools to ensure the attendance of students in the school. In each school, teachers and students have been provided with soap and sanitizer for hand washing. School principals have been instructed to ensure that everyone uses a mask.

He further said that although the attendance of students in the schools is less on the first day, the attendance will gradually increase every day. On an average, more than 75% students were present in each school on the first day.
