Dreams have been fulfilled of 120 destitute families in Kalapara of Patuakhali. After the Prime Minister inaugurated the handover event from Ganabhaban on Tuesday, the Upazila administration handed over the documents and keys of the Prime Minister's gift house to the family on the occasion of Mujib Year. The work on the houses has already been completed, said UNO. The project officer said that the house that has been built this time is of good quality.

Mostafa Bhuiyan, even after 51 years of the country's independence, was not recognized as a freedom fighter. Not being able to get money and advocacy, not being able to be recognized by the gazette, was living a life full of distressed in the upazila without any government benefit.

This time, his name is at number three in the list of gift houses of the third phase. He cleaned the dirt of the house with a broom. Tears of happiness were flowing from his eyes at that time.

Sitting in front of his house, he said, I have fought for the country, but for 51 years he had to struggle with his family. Every storm, tidal wave has damaged his roadside hut. After such despair, he got the gift house from the Prime Minister on Tuesday.

He expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for this and wished her a long life. However, his only regret was that he could not get his name in the list of freedom fighters even after taking part in the liberation war.

203 families in Kalapara are being given PM's gift houses in the third phase on the occasion of Mujib's centenary. The keys of the new house will be given to 120 families on Tuesday.

Like these freedom fighters, 21 disabled and destitute families in Nilganj Union of Kalapara, 22 in Mahipur Union, 44 in Baliatali Union, 26 in Tiakhali Union and 6 in Dhankhali Union will get the gift house of PM.

The house papers were handed over to these families at the inauguration from Ganobhaban. Former State Minister for Water Resources Mahbubur Rahman Talukder handed over the papers of the house as the chief guest at the Kalapara Upazila Parishad auditorium on Tuesday afternoon under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abu Hasnat Mohammad Shahidul Haque. Additional Deputy Commissioner Obaidur Rahman, Upazila Chairman SM Rakibul Ahsan, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League Abdul Motaleb Talukder, Vice President of District Awami League Syed Nasir Uddin, OC of Kalapara Police Station Mohammad Jasim, UP Chairman Humayun Kabir and others were present as special guests.

On Tuesday, the families who have lost their homes in this joy will be able to move into a new house. They said they never thought they would be able to spend the last few days in their own home. The Prime Minister has fulfilled the last whim of their lives.

The locals, including the people's representatives, said that some of the people who got houses this time were living in jails and some were living in huts by the side of the road.

They are happy that the government has given houses to these helpless families.

Kalapara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abu Hasnat Mohammad Shahidul Haque said, after the inauguration by the Prime Minister, they have handed over the Prime Minister's Eid gift house. The construction of each house has cost two lakh 59 thousand taka. This time the house has been built in a place where the families can move to business and send their children to school properly. They will also hand over the remaining 83 houses soon.

On the occasion of Mujib's centenary, 450 families in Kalapara in the first phase and 110 families in the second phase got the gift house of the Prime Minister. So that now the homeless and uprooted families are living in peace.
