A three and a half year old child was brutally killed by another child at Alokchhatra village under Godagari police station on Wednesday morning.
The victim was identified as Mahi daughter of Milon Khan while the killed child is Hezbollah Abbas Mim(12) son of late Nurul Islam, a class seven student of the same village. They are cousins in relation..
According to sources Mahi went missing from around 10-00 AM on Wednesday.
Relatives and local people searched in every possible places and also published posts on social media in this connection.
Hezbollah Mim, however, took Mahi in his house and killed her by wrapping a wire round her neck and then cut the tendons of her legs to ensure her death. He then drag her dead body inside a sac in a room of the house. Jahanara Begum, Hejbullaha's mother and a school teacher arrived at her house around 4-00 pm and found the dead body of Mahi inside the sac and she also tried to conceal the dead body under the bed.
In the afternoon, Mahir's father, brother and villagers went to the house of Hezbollah in search of Mahi and found her dead body kept inside the sac. Being informed, Police of Godagari Model thana rushed to house of Hezbollah and recovered the dead body of Mahi kept inside the sac in a room . Police arrested Hezbollah in connection of the murder from the house. Police also recovered the blood stained knife from nearby.
Kamrul Islam, Officer-in-charge of Godagari police station informed, Hezbollah Mim Abbas has admitted of killing Mahi. He has been arrested and will be interrogated for further information.
