To monitor the whole city area of Sylhet and detect the crime, a total 110 Internet Protocol (IP) camera will be set up in the city area with the help of Sylhet metropolitan police, Sylhet City Corporation and Information and Communication ministry.
The camera-installation work has already begun at city’s important intersections and key points under ‘Digital Sylhet City’ project with the cost of Tk 4 crore.
Zedan Al Musa, ADC of Sylhet Metropolitan police, said after installation of those cameras, police will be able to trace the miscreants and monitor the traffic situation easily.
