Eleven persons were identified infected with corona virus, but 3 of which died in Chittagong. Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) tested samples from 190 persons of which 12 samples were found positive.
Of the 12 positive cases, 11 persons belong to Chattogram district, and one is from another district. Chittagong Divisional Health Director Dr Hasan Shahriar Kabir said this on Wednesday night.
“Recently doctors, police and 8 others returned home after recovering from the corona virus at Chittagong General Hospital. Of them, there were 3 doctors, a police officer, a resident of Satkania and another resident of city,” said General Hospital Senior Consultant Dr Abdur Rob.
Meanwhile, 134 people were infected with corona in Chittagong district including 11 newly identified people last Wednesday. However, 5 corona positive persons were from Dhaka, Rajbari, Cumilla and Cox’sbazar. 139 patients are under treatment in Chittagong. Twelve people have died in Chittagong due to corona infection. 39 corona patients of Chattogram recovered and returned home.
