A total of 104 dengue patients were hospitalised at various hospitals in Chattogram in the last 24 hours on Wednesday. The dengue control room of the district civil surgeon's office said this afternoon that a total of 104 dengue patients were hospitalized at various hospitals in Chattogram on Wednesday. Of the total patients, 58 were admitted in government hospitals and 46 in private hospitals. Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Iliyas Chowdhury said a total of 5,697 dengue patients have been detected in Chattogram in the last eight months till August 30 this year and the number of deaths has reached 53 here this year.
Of them 3,427 dengue patients admitted to government hospitals and 2,270 have received treatment in private hospitals.
A total of 5,432 dengue patients have recovered and 254 undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the city and district, the sources added.
