In Paikgachha, Koyra and Dakop upazilas of Khulna, 100 percent electrification has been completed in all the upazilas of Khulna district under rural electricity through 100 percent electrification in last September.
Khulna Palli Bidyut Samiti Senior General Manager Engineer Md Alataf Hossain said this at a meeting of the District Development Coordination Committee.
In addition, during the upcoming Durga Puja, if there is a need for electricity connection without electricity, immediate connection will be provided based on their demand.
The October meeting of the Khulna District Development Coordination Committee was held online from his conference room under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Helal Hossain on Sunday.
The meeting decided to take urgent steps to set up Oxygen Cylinder Banks and High-Flow Nasal Canola in all upazilas to acquire capacity to deal with the possible second outbreak of coronavirus.
It was informed at the meeting that due to the outbreak of coronavirus, an additional loan of Tk 3.44 crore is being disbursed among the small savers and farmers affected by the My Home My Farm project in Khulna district. The meeting was attended by chairmen of various Upazila Parishads, UNOs, government officials and other members of the committee.
