In the present context of 100 percent LC margin for importing reconditioned vehicles has become a great challenge for the importers nevertheless association of the importers is doing best to improve the sector.
Bangladesh Reconditioned Vehicles Importers and Dealers Association (BARVIDA) President Habib Ullah Dawn said this during its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2022 held at Officers Club Dhaka on Thursday.
BARVIDA Secretary General, Vice-Presidents and the Executive Committee Members attended. Former Presidents and Secretary Generals of the ogranizaition also joined the meeting. Around 370 members of the Association were present at the AGM.
BARVIDA President Md. Habib Ullah Dawn said that the present executive committee of the association is extending their all out effort to develop the reconditioned vehicle sector. The Executive Committee is trying their best to face the current situation in the context of preserving 100 percent L/C margin for import according to the Bangladesh Bank circular, he added.
Secretary General of BARVIDA Mohammad Shahidul Islam in his presentation highlighted the activities of the association held in last one year. Treasurer of the association presented the income and expenditure of the organization at the meeting.
The annual budget of the Association was approved by the members at the meeting, and the auditor for the year 2022-2023 was appointed.
