A total of one hundred newly-constructed semi pacca houses were handed over to homeless people in Gopinathpur 5 No. union of Gopalganj Sadar upazila recently on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The houses were handed over to one hundred families through lottery in the presence of all the beneficiaries to ensure transparency in a festive atmosphere on Sunday afternoon. While receiving the newly-constructed semi brick-built house, the people expressed their sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Gopalganj Sadar upazila Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Md Alauddin, Chairman of 5 No Gopinathpur union parishad Sharif Aminul Haque Lachchu, UP Secretary Md Delowar Hossain, UP member (Reserved) Mst Polly Begum, Mst Jharna Begum, Mst Shahanara Begum, UP member (General) Kazi Rezaul Islam, Asad Sharif and Haji Babar Ali Sharif were present at the event among others including the media personnel working in the district.
