The second day of nationwide lockdown, announced to deal with the 2nd wave of corona infection, was observed in Thakurgaon in a relaxed mode on Tuesday.
Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Executive Magistrate Abdullah Al Mamun conducting a mobile court fined 10 pedestrians for not wearing masks from morning till noon on the day.
During this time, he encouraged pedestrians to use masks and distributed masks among poor people on behalf of the upazila administration.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdullah Al Mamun said the ban on movement is going on for the second day in a row across the country.
The district administration has set up check posts on the entry points of Thakurgaon to monitor travel from and to the district, added the UNO.
