A 10-month-old child tested positive for coronavirus at Kamalnagar in Lakshmipur on Tuesday. The baby was taken to Upazila Health Complex on April 21 as it developed fever, cough and cold.
As the doctors suspected coronavirus symptoms in the baby, the throat swab was sent to Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Science University for testing.
In the report that was received on Tuesday, April 28, it is confirmed that the baby is suffering from coronavirus infection. Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Abu Taher confirmed the news. He said, “Apart from him, 4 others, including a doctor have also tested positive for the contagious virus in Kamalnagar, taking the toll to 5.”
