Ten judges are coming to Greater Chattogram after being promoted as Additional District Judges from Joint District Judges. On the other hand, seven judges have been transferred from Chattogram.
The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has issued a notification in this regard by order of the President on Sunday. This information is known from that notification.
Chuadanga Joint District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Kamal Hossain Shikdar has been transferred as Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge and Chattogram Joint Metropolitan Sessions Judge Abul Hasnat has been transferred as Additional District and Sessions Judge of Chattogram.
Besides, Habiganj Land Survey Tribunal Judge Sirajam Munira has been transferred to Chattogram as Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge. Sylhet Joint Metropolitan Sessions Judge HM Shafiqul Islam and Law Commission Translation Officer Md. Rafiqul Islam have been transferred to Additional District and Sessions Judge Chattogram Court.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Laxmipur Md. Shamsul Arefin and Joint District and Sessions Judge of Dhaka Md. Sharifur Rahman have been transferred as Additional District and Sessions Judge of Chattogram.
Moreover, Judge Mohammad Saiful Elahi of Netrakona's Joint District and Sessions Judge Court has been posted to Cox's Bazar as Additional District and Sessions Judge.
Besides, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Feni Jahanara Ferdous has been posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge of Bandarban, Joint District and Sessions Judge of Rangamati Tawhidul Haque as Additional District and Sessions Judge of the same court.
On the other hand, Chattogram Joint Metropolitan Sessions Judge Nure Alam Bhuiyan has been appointed Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge of Sylhet, Joint Metropolitan Sessions Judge Kazi Mizanur Rahman has been appointed Bogra, Joint District and Sessions Judge of Patiya Mohammad Abdul Kader has been appointed as Cox's Bazar, Bandarban Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Khorshed Alam Sikdar as Additional District and Sessions Judge Moulvibazar, Banshkhali Joint District and Sessions Judge Md Mosharf Hossain Additional Cox's Bazar, Bandarban Joint District and Sessions Judge Nishat Sultana has been posted to Cox's Bazar, Chattogram Port Authority Law Officer Muntasir Ahmad has been posted to Gaibandha.
