Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested 10 leaders and activists of Jamaat-Shibir over attacking police in the city's Panchlaish.
A team of Panchliash thana police raided different areas under the police station and arrested Ali Azgar, 31, Mojibul Haque Javed, 33, Aktar Hossain, 25, Abul Kalam Azad, 45, Lutfar Rahman, 46, Tauhidul Islam, 40, Badruddoja Prakash Bhutto, 42, Mozzammel Haque, 30, Jasim Uddin, 38 and Mohammad Harunur Rashid.
Sadekur Rahman Inspector (Investigation) of Panchlaish Police Station said that a group of Jamaat-Shibir suddenly brought out a procession in the Muradpur Roshan boarding area, from where 10 more people were arrested last night on charges of attacking the police.
