Bangladesh Coast Guard-9 (East Zone) has seized 10 crore pieces of shrimp fry including 4 mini trucks from Lalkhan Bazar flyover of the city on Thursday night.
Sources said, the fry (pona) was seized in a special operation.
Coast Guard personnel said that during the operation they seized 124 drums of shrimp fry estimated 10 crore fries from Lalkhan Bazar flyover in the port city.
At that time they captured four mini trucks carrying these fries (pona) while the traffickers could able to escape himself. Mentioned, the seized shrimp fries was released in the Karnafuli River.
