Arifur Rahman, President of Raiga Union Awami League and Principal of Raigaan Degree College is by the side of people during this corona epidemic with creating public awareness against corona virus, distributing leaflets, distributing masks and spraying disinfectants.
Not only that, according to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's instruction to plant three trees each in the Mujib Barsho, he has also undertaken a month-long tree planting programme in Raiga Union of Mahadevpur of Naogaon to plant 10,000 saplings.
Besides, he is working day and night like a team for all the people. Even in the dark of night, he has been distributing relief items in the villages among helpless corona affected people.
Arifur Rahman has already planted saplings on both sides of various roads in the union with the overall support of local AL leaders Akhter Hossain, Hefzur Rahman, Mozammel Haque, Abdul Aziz, Sadek Hossain, Abu Hasan, Monaim Hossain and many others.
Principal Arifur Rahman said, “On the occasion of Mujib Barsho, we have undertaken a month-long tree planting programme in different areas of Raiga Union from August 11 on our own initiative. Trees play a special role in maintaining the balance of the environment. So, I personally planted the trees according to the instructions of the Prime Minister”.
