10,000 families in Noakhali town to get hand sanitiser

Noakhali municipality has started a project of delivering hand sanitisers to 10 thousand families in the district town to prevent coronavirus infection on Tuesday.

Mayor of the municipality Shahid Ullah Khan said the hand sanitisers will be delivered to every home in the municipality area. This program will continue till the risk of coronavirus infection is reduced. Arrangements have been made for people to get hand sanitisers again from the municipality after they finish the first bottle.  

Meanwhile, the District Information Office has been distributing leaflets and campaigning in various places to help people comply with government directives to avoid risk of infection. Warning messages are being spread about fines and imprisonment if someone returns from overseas and do not remain in home quarantine for a certain period.

According to the data of the District Civil Surgeon's Office in the last one month, 7 thousand 7 hundred and 95 people have returned from abroad in Noakhali. Of these only 7 hundred and 24 people are staying at home  quarantine.
