Personnel of RAB-14 (CPC-2) arrested one named ASM Monaim from Kaltia Bazar of KishoreganjSadar Upazila with 70,000 fake dollars and counterfeit dollar making equipment.RAB-14 said this at a press conference on Tuesday noon.
According to RAB-14, the arrested ASM Monaim(40) is the son of Abdul Majid of Kodalia area of Chandipasha union in Pakundia upazila of the district.
RAB-14 on Monday night conduced an operation and arrested the accused.Monaim is the mastermind behind the organized fraudulent cycle of making counterfeit dollars.He was cheating people by printing and selling fake dollars in different parts of the country including Kishoreganj, Gazipur and Dhaka.
RAB-14 Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Abu NaeemMdTalat said that case has been filed against the arrested person at Kishoreganj Model Police Station under the Special Powers Act. Such drives will be continued to curb the crime rate, he added.
