Bangladesh on Saturday registered 1,950 fresh cases of Covid-19 and 35 deaths. With that, the number of confirmed cases rose to 323, 565 and deaths 4,447.
The recovery count rose to 217,852 after another 1,950 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the last 24 hours till 8am, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in its daily statement.
Some 12,847 samples were tested at 93 authorised laboratories during the time. So, the positivity rate from the tested samples was 15.18 percent.
So far, 67.33 percent patients have recovered, while 1.37 percent died since the first Covid-19 positive cases were reported in Bangladesh on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
Of the latest deaths, 25 were male and 10 female. Three were in their 30s, two in their 40s, five in their 50s, while 25 were above 60 years.

So far, 16,17,958 samples have been tested in Bangladesh since January. The virus emerged in China first in December. The WHO declared the disease pandemic on March 11.
