Bangladesh on Friday registered 1,929 fresh cases of Covid-19 and 29 novel deaths overnight.
With that, the number of total cases rose to 321,615 and deaths 4,412.
The recovery count rose to 216,191 after another 2,211 patients were discharged from the hospitals during the period of 24 hours till 8am, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in the daily statement.
Some 13,073 samples were tested at 93 authorized laboratories across the country during the time.
Among the latest victims, 22 were male and seven female.
Three are in their 30s, three in their 40s, seven in their 50s, while 15 are above 60 years and one is between 11 to 20 years.
According to the division-wise data, 14 deaths took place in Dhaka division, four in Rajshahi division and the rest are in other divisions.
Bangladesh confirmed the cases first on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
The recovery rate among the total confirmed cases is 67.22 percent while the death rate is 1.37 percent.
