The Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) today distributed seeds and fertilizers free of cost as agricultural incentives among 1,370 small and marginal farmers in Damurhuda upazila of the district in the current season.
Haji Ali Asgar Togor, MP, distributed the seeds and fertilizers among the farmers as the chief guest at a function held at the Damurhuda Upazila Parishad Auditorium with Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sanjida Begum in the chair.
Upazila chairman Ali Munsur Babu, upazila agriculture officer Moniruzzaman, administration and upazila agriculture department officials, public representatives, among others, were present at the function.
A total of 10kgs of DAP fertilizers, 10 kgs of MOP fertilizers, 1 kg onion seed and 1 kg mushur dal seed was given to each farmer free of cost under the agriculture incentive program, DAE official said.
The farmers are very happy to get seeds and fertilizers as agricultural incentive, the DAE official added.
