The Dhaka Education Board has published the re-evaluation results for the 2024 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams, with significant changes for 1,319 students.

Out of the 59,678 students who applied for answer script rechecks, 1,319 saw changes in their Grade Point Average (GPA). Notably, 213 students who had initially failed the exams have now passed, and one student achieved the highest GPA of 5.  The process began after the initial HSC results were published, prompting students to seek re-evaluations. Applications for rechecking were accepted from October 16 to 22. The revised results, released on Thursday, have brought relief to many students and their families.

This year's HSC re-evaluation has underscored the importance of thorough reviews of answer scripts to ensure fairness in assessments. Students from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College and other institutions were seen celebrating their improved outcomes.

The re-evaluation process, which involves detailed scrutiny of answer scripts, is an opportunity for students to address potential errors in grading. This year's results highlight the significance of the initiative in maintaining transparency and accuracy in the education system.

Officials from the Dhaka Education Board reiterated their commitment to upholding fairness and ensuring that all students receive the grades they deserve. They also urged students to use the re-evaluation process judiciously in future examinations.

The announcement has sparked discussions about improving assessment methods to minimize errors and reduce reliance on re-evaluation requests. However, for the students whose results were revised, the news is a source of immense relief and a step toward their academic and professional aspirations.

The revised results are now available online, and students can access their updated grades on the Dhaka Education Board’s official website.
