1, 200 returnees move freely in Jhikargachha

A total of 1200 people returned home from abroad at Jhikargachha upazila in Jashore district in last one month. But they are moving freely in local hats, bazars and public place.  They do not obey the Government instructions. This has created extreme panic among the local people. Locals complained to 

the police but no action being  done. It is reported that many of them came from different countries including Italy, Malaysia and Bahrain after being infected with. Locals informed  the police station about their free movement in public places but police asked to report to the Upazila Health Department. 

The upazila health department has claimed responsibility for the quarantine. Dr. Habibur Rahman Jhikarga­chha upazila health officer said that the Deputy Commissioner has convened an emergency meeting with every Upazila Chairman and its members, Health Officers, UP Chairman and their members 

and made a committee to  prevent the Corona virus in Jashore district. It is recorded that 1200  people returned home from abroad In Jhikargachha upazila Dr. added.

Health department officials and employees will make a list of the recent returnees  and submit it to the health department high official. After receiving this list we will take action.

All will be kept in the mandatory quarantine. This is a challenge of our 15 days. We must support all citizens in this challenge. Under this challenge and the awareness of all, the country may be able to come out of great risk Dr Habibur Rahman said.

Abdur Rajjak, officer in-charge, Jhikorgacha police station said that  We are taking action against  any complaint regarding the position of  returnees. It is being warned that no one can go out from the resident.
