A total of 1,08,059 Covid-19 patients were released after their recovery among a total of 1,12,631 infected people in all ten districts of Khulna division till 8.00am on Friday.
"The percentage of recovered Covid-19 patients stands at 95.94 in the division," divisional director (Health) Dr. Ferdousi Akther said.
"We received 547 samples of suspected coronavirus patients at KMC in Khulna and other samples in Jashore and Kushtia laboratories in the last 24 hours, of those seven were found COVID-19 positive," she said.
She informed that the total number of infected persons rose to 1,12,631 in the division.
Of the total, 27,946 are in Khulna, 21,697 in Jashore, 18,645 in Kushtia, 9,519 in Jhenaidah, 7,133 in Bagerhat, 6,898 in Chuadanga, 6,896 in Satkhira, 4,984 in Narail, 4,757 in Meherpur and 4,156 in Magura, she said.
At the same time, a total of 3,163 fatalities were reported in the division. Of the total fatalities 803 are in Khulna, 777 in Kushtia, 503 in Jashore, 266 in Jhenidah,189 in Chuadanga, 181 in Meherpur, 145 in Bagerhat, 121 in Narail, 90 in Magura and 88 in Satkhira districts in the division.
