1,000 soaps distributed

To prevent the transmission of coronavirus, Jhalakathi Rotary Club distributed 1,000 soaps for washing hands among low-income people on Saturday evening. During the time, conscious advice was also given to these marginal people on how to prevent corona virus.

Soaps were distributed among the low income people at different areas including Purbochandkathi, Pubali Road, Bashundhara Road and Doparchak in Jhalakathi town. Rotary Club members Monirul Islam Talukder, Hafiz Al Mahmud and Matiur Rahman Mati were present during the distribution among others.

Monirul Islam Talukder said, "Coronavirus is spreading in our country like other countries of the world. To get rid of the virus, there is no alternative to public awareness. He called on the government and the rich to come forward to help the poor in fighting this crisis. He also said that the Rotary Club will continue to distribute soap and other materials during the  critical time.
